Happy Valentines Day 2021 History
The valentines day story happened in the third century, and this interesting and lovable story involves three characters:
Roman Emperor Claudius II
Valentinus and his daughter Julia
The story begins like this; the Roman Emperor Claudius II ordered his citizens to worship 12 twelve Gods. Still, Valentinus being a true Christian, did not obey his orders and remained loyal to his belief, so later, he was imprisoned, and punishment was given to him, the punishment is that he was sentenced to death.
Not fearing the death, he remained true to his God and waited for foe his day of punishment.
Valentinus’ daughter Julia was a blind girl till birth, and she was taken to her father for suitable lessons of life and spirituality in the last weeks of Valentinus. Valentinus taught her girl to love God and taught her good morals of life, and insisted on praying to God on every occasion of life. Julia being a smart Girl, believed and learned everything her father said and prayed to God every day to give her eyes so that she could see all the things her father taught her.
On a very beautiful morning, Julia asked her, “Father Valentinus, does God actually hear our prayers?”
Valentinus said to her, “Yes, my beautiful child, He hears everyone’s prayers.”
Julia replied to her Father, “Do you know what I pray for every morning and every night? I pray that I might see. I want so much to see everything you have told me about Father!”
“God give us what is best for us if we will only believe in God,” said Valentinus to her daughter.
“Oh, Valentinus, I do believe! I do!” She exclaimed
Afterward, they both prayed quietly to Almighty God. Instantly there was a Bright Spiritual light in prison, then Julia screamed, “Valentinus, I can see! I can see!”
“Praise be to God!” Valentinus said in Joy and Thanked God.
Later on February 14, 270 A.D., near a gate that was renamed Porta Valentini, Valentinus was put to death; he was buried at a place called the Church of Praxedes in Rome. His final words to his daughter were “From your Valentine,” and it was also a belief that Julia planted a pink-blossomed almond tree near her Father’s grave, and so now this tree remains a symbol of true love and friendship. It also says that family relations do not include only blood relations.
And so February 14 is celebrated as Valentine’s day worldwide to exchange each other’s love. This is the story of Valentine’s day and also the origin, history, and facts of Valentine’s day.
